Hello! We’re so happy you’re here. Let us introduce you to our Jesmond Central family. These are the people who work hard to provide you with the best experiences in our centre. They are incredibly passionate about the local community and love serving you each and every day.

Meet Emma and Hardeep from OPSM

OPSM Jesmond (franchise) was opened in September 2015 by Emma and Hardeep, two women passionate about eyecare. Having each been in the industry for more than 20 years, they recognise the importance of quality eye examinations and eyewear. Alongside their highly experienced team, they are keen to deliver their skills and knowledge to the local community of Jesmond.

Tell us about the products/services you offer
At OPSM we offer comprehensive eye examinations for every member of your family. Our team work closely with other health professionals so can provide a tailored examination for each individual.

In addition to standard eye examinations, we also conduct specific eye health related examinations and driving licence renewal consultations. Our Optometrists are therapeutically endorsed and are able to conduct eye emergency examinations and prescribe medication if necessary.

We have a wide variety of optical solutions to suit different budgets. Our frames and lenses are of the highest quality and our brand portfolio includes Rayban, Oakley, Ralph Lauren, Armani and Tiffany & Co., just to name a few.

How have you adapted to COVID-19 and what keeps you motivated to succeed?
Keeping patients safe in our store during the COVID-19 pandemic is of paramount importance to us. We have implemented a number of safety and cleaning protocols to continue to safeguard our patients and practice.

The gift of sight is precious and being able to continue to provide our services keeps us motivated to serve the community during these unprecedented times.

What’s something customers might not know about your store/products/services?
At OPSM Jesmond, we provide bulk billed eye examinations. We have the latest eyecare technology and can provide an ultrawide digital retinal scan of the back of your eyes. 

Our frame collection includes brands such as Rayban, Oakley, Armani and Oroton (just to name a few) and we customise your lenses so you have a bespoke pair of glasses to suit your exact needs.  

We can supply safety spectacles, contact lenses and have a wide variety of sunglasses available. 

Being a small family business, we love giving back to the local community. We support local charities and fundraisers including Onesight and Got Your Back Sista. We also service a number of local aged care facilities in order to provide eyecare to residents that are unable to access such services.
